The Wholefood Farmacy Wellness Center is a valuable resource for those wishing to explore the subject of over-all healthy living. The focus of our Wellness Center page is to provide the most recent research in whole foods and in living a preventative lifestyle. The archives of articles are broken up into five categories for easy browsing. The information provided there is gathered to aid readers in their decisions about food choice and daily habits in order to lead them into a healthier, happier lifestyle.

The five categories of articles are: Whole Foods, Children’s Health, Prevention, Physical Activity and Exercise, and Healthy Lifestyles. Under these headings, you can glean data, advice, and new evidence on topics which affect your everyday life. With so much from which to choose, there is something helpful for all who take the time to take in the information.

Specific articles include, under the Whole Foods heading, a series of five writings called “The History of the Doctrine of Signatures.” These articles explore the “theory that nature provides clues as to the beneficial uses of plants.” This is what is known as The Doctrine of Signatures, an idea dating back to off Galen in approximately 200 AD. The series looks at various vegetables under the light of this doctrine.

Those interested in Children's Health can browse such articles as “Can the Soda,” “Children, TV and Blood Pressure,” and “Mother’s Milk.” A well rounded picture of the health needs of our children can be pieced together from these and the other articles available. The Prevention category focuses more on the benefits of specific foods in the diet. Articles like, “Avocados,” and “Berry Me Alive!” provide interesting insight into the ways our bodies are affected by what we eat.

Physical Activity and Exercise articles encourage readers to “Get Active,” assure them that “It Is Never Too Late,” and teach them value of proper “Stretching” techniques. In Healthy Lifestyles, readers learn that “Diets Don’t Work,” and can brush up on knowledge about “A Woman’s Heart.”
